In Loving Memory of Bill Clark
It is with heavy hearts that we must share the news of the passing of Bill Clark, a cherished member of our community and a cornerstone of the COPD Foundation's work since its early days. Bill passed away on January 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of improving the lives of those impacted by COPD.
Many of you knew Bill as the Community Manager of COPD360Social, and in many ways he was the heart of our COPD community. His passion for sharing knowledge and support was evident in every interaction. Before joining the COPD Foundation, Bill dedicated 28 years to teaching special education in Ohio. That teaching spirit never left him—it was reflected in his approach to everything he did.
In 2019, Bill was honored with the John W. Walsh Dedication to Excellence Award, a recognition of his contributions to our mission. It was a moment of immense pride for him and his wife, Alice, who joined him in celebrating the achievement. His acceptance speech perfectly captures his spirit and dedication to our community.
Bill’s journey with COPD drove his mission to make a difference in the world. He didn't just work for the COPD Foundation—it was his calling, his passion, and his purpose. We will carry the torch to grow and strengthen 360Social in his honor. He inspired us all to strive for better outcomes and to never lose sight of our shared goal: a cure.
